Contrary to expectations Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, today, skipped Telangana altogether at his Independence Day address at the Secunderabad parade grounds. Kiran claimed AP stood first in Gross Domestic Product for the ninth consecutive year. He underscored his pet schemes, Bangaru Thalli, Amma Hastam and SC/ST Sub- Plan. Poverty in the State came down by 9.2 per cent in the past nine years. He also touched on interest-free loans to women entrepreneurs.
