Businesses do not need to bother about managing or optimising HR services anymore. With the growth of outsourcing HR services, there is a win-win situation evolving between the HR solutions providers and businesses.
“This will be a cost-effective and efficient way forward for business. HR outsourcing and payroll BPO is emerging and growing in the country like in the West,” says Raghuram Janapareddy, centre head (operations), NorthgateArinso, Hyderabad.
“Today, businesses can pick and choose varied services in the mode of on-premise and on-demand from the range of products and service portfolio. “Generally, small companies have to afford wide-ranging human resources like admin manager, HR manager, recruitment manager irrespective of the size of the company. They tend to outsource these processes to small content companies, who work on simple softwares like MS Word and MS Excel.
“However, if businesses think that they have to manage their own taxation and employee welfare with the growth of human resources and accountability, they can choose companies like us to maintain their entire HR operations. They also have an option to have their own software or buy on premise software, solutions and services from us,” says Raghuram.
“Business management softwares in certain segments like materials management; purchase and sales do not require frequent updates. However, accounting and HR softwares have to be up to date with the taxation and other rules of each country. For instance, if there is a change in the deductions to an allowance, the software has to be immediately updated with the change and the next pay roll has to be generated with the new rule. Very few companies have that capability to constantly monitor and update the changes quickly. They are other difficulties like financial year of the country may not be same as of the organisation, which needs to be integrated in the application.
“The complexity of managing will further increase if there is mistake in deductions for PF or while paying salaries late. These applications on cloud can help in easing the complexity through a solution,” he says.
