Reporters diary: Boastful mayor surprises leaders
Many eyebrows were raised when a campaign boastful of the mayor, Shehar Hamara Mayor Hamara, was announced while publicising the recently conducted job mela. The BJP floor leader was unable to digest the fact that this was a government advertisement that was being used since the last one month. Interestingly, he learnt about the ‘misdeed’ while accompanying the mayor who had inaugurated the job mela.
With the TDP floor leader‘s absence during the general body meeting on December 1, the expectations for strong opposition candidates now rests with the BJP floor leader.
However, when asked about the preparations being made by the party for the next meeting, he mumbled and appeared ill-prepared. He excused himself by saying that a ‘separate press conference will be organised’ to disclose plans for the council meet.
