Two youths who came to the City in search of jobs failed in their objective, but instead came up with a ‘healthy’ plan to make some quick money.

One Delhi-based youth Keshav Bahadur Bam was arrested by the task force team of City police for running a sex racket under the guise of massage centre for the past few months. Keshav was raking in moolah from the massage he was running centre with the help of one J Ramesh, a resident of Tarnaka. Ramesh, a native of UP, however, managed to escape the police dragnet, inspector (Task Force, North Zone) L Raja Venkat Reddy said.

According to the police, Keshav, 26, is from Radheshyam Park in Delhi. He came to the City a few years back in search of a job but failed to secure one. He was staying in West Marredpally, Secunderabad, when he came in contact with Ramesh, who was also under similar circumstances.

Both brainstormed and came up with the idea to make a quick buck by running a sex racket under the cover of massage centre. Soon they rented a house in West Marredpally and the “ayurvedic massage centre” came into being. Ramesh came up with the money, leaving ‘business partner’ Keshav to take care of ‘logistics and supply chain management’.

Keshav hired girls from places such as Pune, Delhi, Mumbai and Goa on contract basis and they were paid `15,000-`20,000 per month in addition to food and accommodation.

Leading English dailies of the City were soon carrying advertisements soliciting customers for the massage centre. The wordings of the advertisements were: “East–West, provides exclusive oil “n” cream massage for M & F at very cool atmosphere, just buzz at 8179249128”.

Customers were `2,000-`3,000 per customers for massage and ‘additional charges’ were levied for sexual course with the masseuses. And the business was flourishing, inspector Reddy said.

On specific information, the Task Force raided the massage centre on October 10 and arrested Keshav. They also seized some cash and a mobile phone from him and rescued a sex worker by name Kotiya Mal, who is belongs to Mumbai. After preliminary inquiries, Keshav was handed over to Marredpally police. Now the force is looking for Ramesh, who is the main accused.
