Chloe Moretz is negotiating to star in The Wilderness Of James, an indie coming-of-age film that was scripted by Michael Johnson, who will make his directorial debut. The film is set in Portland and is the story of a young boy dealing with the absence of his father. Super Crispy is producing the low-budget indie and shooting is scheduled to begin next month.
Nicholas Frenkel and Glenn Howarton are exec producing. Moretz is in discussions to play the role of Val opposite Kodi Smitt-McPhee. This deal is dependent on working out her fall schedule. Moretz, who wrapped the title role in the Kimberly Peirce-directed Carrie remake, will shoot the Jeff Wadlow-directed Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall for Universal.
