Keeping in view the upcoming CBD, the City zoo is preparing itself with many attractions for visitors

The City zoo (NZP) is getting ready with several attractions to welcome the overseas guests during the October 1-19 world CBD.

An auditorium to hold 100 visitors is coming up at the entrance. Here the visitors will be shown a short film on the zoo and zoo ethics. The existing aquarium and natural history museum are being spruced up. A food court near the toy train station is also coming up. New toilets and drinking water points are also being readied where mineral water will be made available to the visitors.

Small cat’s enclosures are coming up near the white tiger enclosure where the jungle cat, civet cat and leopard cat can be seen. Besides this, the zoo will be acquire 20 battery-operated vehicles for the visitors with a capacity of 11 seats and 14 seats. Steps are also being taken to reduce pollution in the zoo. The zoo is gearing up with some other novel methods to draw the overseas guests.

A publicity van with a theme of bio-diversity conservation is another attraction, zoo officials said. This van will be going to various villages around Hyderabad to create awareness among the local people about the richness of biodiversity in Andhra Pradesh and need to conserve the same.
