Senior party leaders allege that tainted ministers were being spared while other petty employees were being penalised.

The TDP has demanded that all the six tainted ministers, who were served with notices by the Supreme Court, be arrested.

Party senior leaders questioned why minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, whose name was included in the CBI charge-sheet and minister K Parthasarathy, who was convicted in the FERA violation case, had not been arrested so far.

Demanding that Geeta Reddy, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Sabita Indra Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who have received notices from the Supreme Court, should be removed from the Cabinet. The leaders questioned how there could be a different law for the ministers. They pointed out that a petty employee was being arrested for taking a small bribe of Rs.500 and jailed. They questioned how ministers, who swore by the Constitution were being tolerated even when they were looting public money to the tune of several thousands of crores of rupees.

The leaders questioned why Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, who as industries minister, had directed the now suspended IAS officer Srilakshmi to remove the word ‘captive’ from the mining lease order given to Gali Janardana Reddy was not yet arrested, while the IAS officer was had been sent to jail.
