Taylor Swift’s latest song not about me, says Joe Jonas
Her ode to John Mayer behind her, was Taylor Swift due for a musical Joe Jonas rant? “I can say it’s not about me, because I don’t think we’ve ever tried another time,” Jonas said when asked on 94.7 Fresh FM if he thought Swift’s latest single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, was about him or Mayer. Jonas insisted again, laughing, “I can tell you it’s not about me.” And then the interview just became a veritable Taylor Swift lovefest. “I like the song,” he quickly added. “That said, I think the song is great… Taylor does pop music really well and I’m happy for her.” The exes keep in touch “as much as we can,” Jonas said.
“I haven’t really spoken to her recently, but I was able to go to her concert last year, and her show live is so phenomenal… I would say anybody should go see it if they have a chance,” he added. But the two did go through one of those scrutinised public breakups that can leave very song-worthy scars.
