The GHMC head office hosts more than 5,000 visitors a day. A walk from the main door to the PRO’s office leaves one with the stench of urine. While the PRO’s office has gone to great lengths in ignoring this problem, the troubled lot are the journalists waiting here for an interview with some official. Maybe it is the department’s way of keeping visitors at bay. It seems to follow the Secretariat instance where whose toilets have been a constant source of embarrassment to its employees and visitors. A visitor in the GHMC very wisely says, “What good will this department do to this City, when it cannot keep itself clean?”
