Decision on fee structure taken
A common fee for medical and engineering courses will be announced.
The minister’s sub-committee has announced that the Eamcet engineering counseling schedule would be announced on August 8. The sub-committee held a meeting on common fee structure in the engineering and medical courses at the Secretariat on Monday.
Speaking to media persons, the minister for social welfare Pithani Satyanarayana said that management seats would be filled up through an online system.
He informed that the students would be eligible for the fee reimbursement scheme for the next academic year only after they pass with 50 per cent in all the subjects.
He said that the government would provide Rs.31,000 under fee reimbursement, and a bank loan to the students for the remaining amount, depending upon the hiked fee in the colleges. He informed that they would pay fee reimbursement to SC and ST students with the help of the Central and State government funds.
Satyanarayana said that they would bring a Legislation, in accordance with the guidelines. He informed that they would set up task force teams to check the college standards and fix the tuition fee in accordance with the college standards. He said that the Sub-committee decisions would be submitted to the CM.
