Soundarya Rajinikanth ropes in Stereo 3D for Kochadaiyaan
Soundarya Rajinikanth has roped in the stereoscopic team which worked on some of the recent Hollywood blockbusters like Avatar, Avengers, Titanic 3D for her upcoming film Kochadaiyaan. The film stars Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone in lead roles and Aadhi, Jackie Shroff, Shobana, Rukmini, Nassar and Sarathkumar are also playing important roles.
When the film was launched earlier this year, it was touted as India’s first performance capture photorealistic film and it’s going to release on December 12, 2012 in Stereoscopic 3D. Confirming the news, Soundarya posted on Twitter, “Thrilled and honored to work with the stereoscopic team of Avengers,Thor,Titanic 3d,Avatar to name a few, STEREO D for Kochadaiyaan (sic).”
Stereo D specialises in high quality conversion of 2D theatrical content into stereoscopic 3D imagery. Most part of Kochadaiyaan was shot in Pinewood Studios, London, Trivandrum and Hong Kong. Thanks to the huge buzz surrounding the film, the film’s marketing and promotions are also going to be done at an unprecedented scale.
Recently, Media One Global Entertainment and Eros International, which are producing the film, collaborated with Karbonn mobiles to unveil five lakh special edition mobile phones to promote the film. Rajiv Menon is the cinematographer and AR Rahman is composing the music.
