It’s not every day that one gets to see the emotional side of Nagarjuna and his speech at the a launch of K Raghavendra Rao’s Shirdi Sai came as a big surprise. To prepare for the role, he went through a total transformation in terms of his look and continued to make appearances at several events in the same avatar. At the audio launch, he turned quite emotional and said, “Several miracles happened while I was shooting for the film. Everyone used to call me uncle while I was shooting the film and now that I am sporting a new look, people have begun calling me Nag. That’s the kind of respect which people have for Shirdi Sai Babu. I began to find happiness in the happiness of others. Last year when my mother passed away, my father was quite depressed and I wanted to cheer him up at any cost. That’s when Raghavendra Rao and I insisted that he must spend some time on the sets of our film in Badami. He found peace and I could see the happiness in his face after a long time. It was truly a miracle.” A day after the audio launch, Nagarjuna posted on Twitter saying, “Last night shiridi Sai audio launch was very emotional for me/so much positive energy/I woke up this morning with a heart full of Joy/OMSAI. (sic)” M M Keeravani has composed the music for this film and it’s going to hit the screens on September 6.
