The greenery has become integral part of real estate development. Realtors taking the help of landscape architects to design landscapes, club houses, avenue plantations (growing plants on the side of roads) and areas like Play Garden.
It is not only increasing the aesthetic appeal of their project but also increasing the saleability. People are drawn to green way of living and want more greenery around them for environmental and health benefits, said Geetha Prasad, founder, Callos Hortus landscape designers.
Greenery has to be planned right from the lay out design stage. If it is small garden, it takes 4-5 months to grow and get the beautiful view. If needed, fully grown trees like palm are readily are available in the market which can be planted straight away.
Size of plot or price cannot be a restriction towards greenery. If there is no space, builders or individual house owners can grow the potted plants and side plantations and can go for lawns in huge spaces.
