Was there a quid pro quo for YSRC voting for Pranab Mukherjee in the presidential elections? According to TRS politburo member G Vinod Kumar, both the ruling Congress and YSR Congress parties have spun an amusing but revealing slogan in the corridors of power: Vote for Pranab and Bail for Jagan. The lyric may lack rhyme but it tickles. “Both the ruling Congress and the YSR Congress parties have struck a deal. It’s vote for bail. After the Delhi tour of YS Vijayamma, the pace of the CBI inquiry into YS Jagan’s disproportionate assets has slowed down,” he said.

KCR also made similar comments on Thursday, albeit indirectly. He said that YSR Congress had voted for Pranab Mukherjee for ‘selfish ends’. YS Vijayamma too, after her visit to Delhi Durbar, openly said that her son would get bail in 15 days. So you know what the quid pro quo is.
