Nikki Reed to launch jewellery line
Nikki Reed is set to debut a jewellery line later this year. The Twilight star is teaming up with celebrity jewellery company glamhouse.com to launch her collection ‘Mattlin Era’, named after her paternal grandmother, reports Stylebistro. Reed shared: “Some of my earliest memories are of my mother sitting behind her sewing machine making clothes for my brother and me when we couldn’t afford to buy the cool stuff that was sold in stores. “When I was old enough to help, we would go and buy fun coloured beads to string on elastic and — voila! — I had my first ‘jewellery line’.” The collection is inspired by people who have meant a lot to Reed throughout her life, such as the piece called ‘The Paul’, inspired by her husband Paul McDonald. The couple tied the knot in October 2011 after meeting at the premiere of Red Riding Hood that same year.
