Ally is a Boston-based lawyer. She is shown as a woman who believes in love and is continually looking for her soul mate. She often hears songs in her head and experiences hallucinations, mostly due to her biological clock ticking and of sexual endeavours with various men. She was last seen in the TV series Brothers & Sisters and now she is touted to be on the new season for Dexter.
Gil Bellows played Billy Thomas
Ally McBeal and Billy Thomas were going steady throughout their childhood. Ally even followed Billy to Harvard law school despite having no interest in law. But when Billy chose to pursue a career in law away from Ally, their relationship came to an end. Gil will now be seen in House at the End of the Street in September.
Greg Germann played Richard Fish
Richard is a tactless, neurotic litigator who went head-to-head with Ally McBeal in law school, but soon does an about face and hires her in his law firm. Greg Germann is co-starring opposite Mary McCormack in Kari Lizer’s ABC comedy pilot, aka The Unprofessional.
Jane Karakowski played Elaine Vassal
Jane plays a nosy legal secretary, who is always interfering in Ally’s life. In 2009 she played Corra Limbs in Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. Apart from acting, her singing career has been great and she will be performing in New York on June 8.
