Cracker party at Charminar: 6 held
Arrest of six youngsters last evening for bursting firecrackers near the Charminar shows the utter lack of historical sense in the young generation. All sorts of protests like rallies, dharnas, bursting crackers are banned in the vicinity of this important historical monument.
The police now know they are unwary youths. The assistant commissioner of police Charminar division M Rammohan Roa said the arrested had been celebrating the opening of a bangles shop at Laadbazaar.
However, their act created a great panic in the whole of Charminar area as people rushed out enquiring what was happening. Many shop owners immediately downed their shutters thinking trouble was brewing.The six arrested have been identified as Mohd Azam, Syed Taufeeq, Shaik Altaf, Mohd Sohail, Mohd Shareef, and Shaik Younus.
