All eyes on Karthi’s Shakuni
All eyes are on Karthi’s upcoming film Shakuni which will hit the screens on June 22. Bellamkonda Suresh, who bought the rights of the film in AP, is releasing it in almost 500 screens in the state including 46 theatres in the city alone. It’s the biggest release ever for Karthi and the box office success of this film will help him further in expanding his market in Andhra Pradesh. Almost all his film in the past had done quite well at the box office and he is one of the very few Tamil actors who have been widely accepted in the state. Karthi had expressed his interest in acting in a straight Telugu film; however, nothing has materialised so far. His upcoming film Shakuni is a political drama and also stars Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Santhanam and Pranitha Subhash in important roles. Shankar Dayal is the director and GV Prakash has composed the music.
