Issue of a separate state in the final stages: Minister
Stating that the recent by-election results seem to be in favour of separate Telangana, the minor irrigation minister TG Venkatesh has opined that the issue of division has come to a final stage now.
The minister said that the Seemandhra leaders have no enmity with the TRS, Telangana Congress and Telangana TDP leaders. “It is not a war to have enmity”, he said. He opined that the leaders were fighting, following their own party lines, and there was no question of enmity. He said that Rayalaseema Hakkula Porata Samithi has been fighting for development of Rayalaseema, Samaikyandhra and to see that all people lead honourable life. He said that the issue of division of the State was in the final stage. Rayalaseema region had been deceived two times already and the people of the region were not ready to get deceived for the third time.
He said that the Congress high command has to reveal its stand first to the Rayalaseema leaders on division of the state to explain to their people. All political parties except the Congress have taken a decision with regard to division of the State, He hoped that the Congress will take a decision soon.
He said that he had a doubt on the party high command that it may take a decision in favour of separate Telangana. He requested the high command to convey the decision to the Rayalaseema leaders first.
