Jagapathi Babu hasn’t had a big hit to his credit in Telugu for a long time, but he’s on a roll these days. He’s playing the role of a cop in AL Vijay’s upcoming bilingual film Thandavam and the makers of the film are extremely happy with his commitment. “Jagapathi Babu is a great asset to the film & making all the difference. Vikram sir & JB combination is fantastic & they are setto delight (sic),” Dhananjayan Govind, Head of UTV South posted on Twitter. UTV is producing this bilingual film which also stars Vikram, Anushka and Amy Jackson. Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu is all set to make his debut in the Kannada film industry. He has agreed to play a special role in Sudeep’s upcoming film titled Bachchan. He’ll be seen as a Central Crime Branch officer in the film and we hear that he’ll begin shooting for the film from June 20 onwards. In Telugu, he has agreed to play the lead role in Krishnaswamy Shrikanth Iyengar’s debut film titled April Fool. The film, which also stars Bhumika, is going to be a sociofantasy with absurd comedy.
