Bid to blast Lagadapati’s resort
Suspected pro-Telangana activists threw crude explosives and gelatin sticks at an abandoned resort in the Kondapur area belonging to Parliamentarian Lagadapati Rajagopl a few days ago. The explosives broke windows and glasspanes but no great damage was done, police said.
The incident happened on Friday night but it came to light only now when the watchman lodged a police complaint about the attack with the Madhapur police station.
Inspector Srinath Reddy said the needle of suspicion falls on pro-T people after some pamphlets about Telangana were found at the site. Incidentally, Rajapogal is at the forefront in running down the demand for Telangana.
Police have sent the gelatin sticks for forensic lab. Nobody has been arrested yet.
