Double murder at dawn
Two men were found murdered by an unknown assassin outside their home this morning
A double murder rocked Bandamedapally village in Ranga Reddy district this morning. B Fakeerappa, 55, and B Krishna, 40, both cousins, were found brutally murdered outside their home.
Additional superintendent of police Ranga Reddy S Satyanarayana said the murders seem to be the handiwork of more than one man and had its genesis in an alleged illicit relation Krishna’s wife Narsamma had with a man in the village.
Both victims belonged to the scheduled caste community. Both worked as labourers. Yesterday, there was a function at Krishna’s home to celebrate the marriage of his daughter Bujji. After the function, both men were sleeping outside their home where they were found hacked to death in the morning.
DSP Yallal G Uday Kumar and his team that reached the spot surmised from the circumstantial evidences that at least a gang of 3-4 people were involved in the murder. Limbs and necks were found severed with a sharp weapon, police said. As the news of the brutal assassination spread, the whole village was agog and gathered at the scene.
Police gathered that Narsamma had an affair with a man of the village. Krishna had caught them red-handed. Thereafter the village panchayat was held and the man was made to swear to keep away from her. However, there had been quarrels between the man and the cousins, it is said. Many suspect that Narsamma’s paramour is behind the murder. However, it was too early to make a stance, police pleaded.
A special team has been formed to nab the culprits.
