What happens when a Pawan Kalyan movie hits the cinemas? Fandom comes to the city!

Call it pure fan adulation or Pawanism, a term coined by Pawan Kalyan’s fans, it was a festive occasion at more than 50 theatres in the city. Pawan Kalyan’s film Gabbar Singh released to packed theatres across the city. Fans thronged to single screen theatres as early as 7 am yesterday to catch a glimpse of their favourite star and pretty soon it was evident that they had plenty of reasons to rejoice. The film is already being touted as a blockbuster and word of mouth is equally strong. The mood was electrifying across all the theatres screening Gabbar Singh and dozens of people were spotted scampering for tickets.

The police had to resort to lathicharge to control the crowd at Prasads Multiplex and at another theatre, some miscreants broke windowpanes when they were told that the film’s print hadn’t arrived.

Unlike some of Pawan Kalyan’s recent films, there was unprecedented buzz surrounding Gabbar Singh and tickets are almost sold out for the next three days. We bring you some candid moments from Sandhya 70mm at RTC X Roads which is one of the main theatres screening Gabbar Singh.
