The last time Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings met in this season, Delhi drew first blood and defeated Chennai by 8 wickets.
Taking first strike, Chennai were restricted to a paltry 110 from 20 overs, an innings which saw four run outs. The Daredevils reached the target comfortably in 13.2 overs.
Weeks after that encounter, table toppers, Delhi Daredevils and defending champions, Chennai Super Kings meet again, today.
While the Daredevils do not have much to worry about, Chennai will have to win this game in a bid to keep their playoffs’ hopes alive.
Delhi have put up a superb show this season. From being the team placed at the bottom for a major period last year, DD have done well to have literally turned tables and find a place right at the top this year. Skipper, Virender Sehwag has led from the front while the other players have risen to the occasion whenever they were required to.
CSK, on the other hand, are struggling. Their win against RR on Thursday, has certainly boosted thier confidence but would they be able to repeat this act against DD, remains to be seen.
