The 48-year-old never stayed in one place for long and has popped up in cities from Mumbai to Gulbarga, often travelling with his mistress Nirmala, 55. He had been in the City for a few months before his arrest. In school Ibrahim was bullied for the poverty in which his family lived. It is alleged he took to a life of crime to alleviate himself from the embarrassment of his youth. Ibrahim selects homess to burgle during the day and then breaks into them at night (always when the owners are away).
