Shah Rukh Khan was found conoodling with North Eastern’s renowned executive Chef Prasad Chirunomula at Yale’s Chubb Fellowship Reception, held at Timothy Dwight College recently.

“I thought his speech was entertaining and straight forward” comments Chef Chironmula.

SRK and Chef Chirunomula, celebrated the evening with Isha and Nita Ambani at the reception. They gorged on authentic Indian hors d’oeuvres catered by the executive Chef himself and his team at the Thali Restaurant (New Haven location). SRK’s favourites, Kabobs and Chilli Chicken were made for the VIP event, held in the dining hall of Timothy Dwight.

And though SRK loved the food, he admitted to Chef Chirunomula that he loathes being in restaurants, let alone being photographed in them, especially while he is eating. He told Chef Chirunomula it’s because his family was in the restaurant business ages ago, and he spent so much time there as a child, that the glamour of going out to dinner isn’t special for him.

“Shah Rukh was humble. Grounded. Spoke like an ordinary father, family man. And conversation was easy. He joked around a lot. He’s a comedian at heart. He didn’t act like he was the big star that he is,” Chef Chirunomula states.
