Jagan ends fast, fumes at Government
HYDERABAD: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, president of the YSR Congress and Kadapa MP, ended his 48-hour rythu deeksha by taking lime juice offered by farmers on Thursday evening.
Addressing the gathering after calling off his stir, Jagan said that the Government was not sensitive to the problems of farmers. Numerous agitations too were unable to sensitise the Government, he pointed out.
The farmers were in dire straits as they were not able to realise remunerative prices. The input costs increased by 30 per cent but the farmer was not reaping aa third of it in return, he observed.
He said that YSR did an exemplary service to the ryots, while Chandrababu Naidu was shedding crocodile tears, Jagan quipped. He reiterated his demands and thanked the people who thronged his programme and made it a grand success. Konda Surekha, Bajireddy Govardhan and S Santosh Reddy eulogised Jagan and YSR.
