Hi Tech’s own crown jewel

Hyderabad: My Home Navadweepa apartment complex is a well equipped gated community, that is just a stone’s throw from the iconic Cyber Towers in Madhapur. It has attracted a lot of attention in the recent best colony awards given away by GHMC.
The colony has bagged Rs 15 lakh cash award for following several environment friendly practices. These involve declaring the entire colony a plastic free zone, sewerage treatment plant (STP), curb on unnecessary sound pollution, rain harvesting pits and clean and green surroundings.
The colony’s journey began in 2006 when a 551-flat apartment complex was built over 10 acres. The apartment complex is divided into four major blocks. The colony now houses about 551 families. The colony’s welfare association was formed in 2009 with two committees — management committee and a General Body consisting of entire members of the colony.
Source of Employment
The residential complex has become a source of direct and indirect employment for about 1,200 people. The colony has a total of 544 trees and has also received ITC VoW award for its environment protecting measures. The association celebrates all major festivals. On January 26, it also celebrates annual day celebrations commemorating the formation of the association. The colony pays a whopping Rs 11.2 lakh per annum to GHMC towards property tax.
