HYDERABAD: Creative arts and crafts from different states and cultures were brought under one roof in the name of The Society Collection.

Fashion designers, artists and craftsmen from different segments like jewellery, handicrafts, pottery, paintings, linen, murals, ceramics and jute are showcasing their products not just for sale but to display their creativity skills. This is a nice opportunity for customers to deal with the artists and designers directly; without the involvement of middle man. Almost 95 per cent of the exhibitors are from different states and that gives it an Indian flavour, rather than just the Hyderabad style, revealed Dominque, the event organiser.

Popular fashion designers Manjunath of Fusion, Ashish of Toxic and national-award winning artist Tarmba, among others, are displaying their creations at the exhibition. Fashion accessories like hair clips, shoes, handbags designed by these artists are hand made by artisans. “I love this exhibition for its range and elegant collection. If I don’t buy things need now, I can’t by ever, unless I go to a designer boutique and do customised ordering,” said Anita, a customer at the exhibition on Saturday.

The exhibition has 120 stalls and is on till December 20 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre. The organisers are expecting 20,000 crème de la crème consumers.
