The government today suspended senior IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who is now in CBI custody for her alleged complicity in the OMC mining scandal, for six months. The suspension follows her statement in court that she only prepared papers on the orders of then Minister for Mines (now Minister for Home) Sabitha Indra Reddy.
